Rookie Lifeguard Course
Rookie Lifeguard courses can help children develop a variety of skills, including:
Lifesaving Skills: Children learn basic survival, rescue, and lifesaving skills that help them respond to emergencies.
Confidence: Children build confidence in and out of the water.
Social Connection: Children make social connections with others in the course.
Coordination, flexibility, and mobility: Children improve their coordination, flexibility and mobility.
Strength and muscle tone: Children build strength and muscle tone by working out in water.
Teamwork: Children learn to work as part of a team.
Leadership skills: Children develop leadership skills.
The Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK) offers the Rookie Lifeguard program, which is designed for children aged 8 to 12. The program teaches children skills through fun activities that lead to awards.
Rookie Lifeguard t-shirts cost £16 each. The children are welcome to wear an old t-shirt if they prefer.
